I am pleased to report the dsp modulators work (all 4 on A). The demods on A all load and apparently run the sleep code ok. This morning I loaded A from scratch and included the CAN server and the DSP task. I then loaded the sleep code into the file system as file 103. (sleep.bin). Loaded it into each of the mods and demods. The DSP current consumption did not change all that much. It reads 1.287A whether the sleep code is in or not. I then loaded what I believe to be Assi's 1200 PSK modulator into a DSP mod. Got a good ack but nothing heard in the passband. Then loaded the 11000 tone code from Lyle into each mod (file 106) and listened in the passband. Found nice strong pure tone at 2401.640. Very nice. Signal level on the 9k6 downlink dropped about 1 s unit. Loaded the sleep code into each again. I loaded the 11000 and the sleep into 0 several times and it worked every single time. Turned off the DSP power near the end of the window and got some funny tlm readings. Showed 62A of current and all -13k numbers for temps in the DSP. Probably a tlm problem. Turned it on/off several times and same thing. Turned it back on and loaded sleep into all mods and demods at end of window. Also briefly tested the WOD functions in PHTX today and they seem just fine. Looked at the CAN/LAN temps. Pretty cold, about 4C average. Also turned on the 153k6 modulator briefly and heard what sounded like the right noises in the DL uup around .800 to .870 ish. Did not have the spectrum analyzer connected. I could copy the 9k6 down on .750 just fine even though the level dropped about 1 s unit. Assi, Can you send me your test code and your 1200 modulator again? I'm not at all sure I loaded the right one. I may see if I can talk Mike through loading and testing them while I'm in Albq. The code was doing something because the current went up about .3A or so but nothing heard on the DL at all. Stacey, Please look at the current by RUDAK and see if you can see the difference while we have the DSPs on and sleep code in all of them. Note the DSPs are on for A only, B is in boot loader mode. I'll do a short ANS on this today. Sure would like to get a DSP working at 1200 PSK. Would be VERY interesting to see how the links worked at 1200. Assi, Lyle, Harold, did we ever resolve the issue of how data from the CPU gets sent to the DSP modulators? Or if it gets sent? I never have been able to get data to come out the other 9k6 hardware modulator on orbit. I'm using /a 9600 2 0 2 in the qax load .bat file. Lyle, do we have anything on the ground to receive and demod the 153k6 at all? Would sure like to see if that works. This is, like, way cool. Now we just need to turn off those useless transponders no one uses so we can use this satellite for good experimental digital stuff :) Jim
