Photos of B's Suburban
Took these photos on January 11, 2005 to show what the Suburban from MFM (State Surplus) looked like. Just fired it up, pulled it out of the parking space, and snapped a few....

| Photo | Note |
| 2 | Latch for hood realease got pulled a bit too hard at some point, mounting hole in braket (plastic) is cracked so whole handle will pull out. Functions just fine if you "lever" the lever instead of "pulling" the lever. Will look at this and see if a screw can be fitted through the body of the bracket. |
| 9 | Notice two small dings in center front edge of the hood... |
| 12-15 | Not the most impressive tread left. Not bad for driving around Raleigh, but would suggest a new set before heading cross country. Currently has Goodyear tires, would suggest Goodyear, Yokohama, or Michelin for replacement... (in a M/S tread). |
| 16 | "Regular" non-locking gas cap. |
| 17 | Damaged driver door handle suround where some bozo pulled too hard on the handle when the truck was parked in a locked state at the surplus yard... |
| 18-20 | Clean engine. Oil looks good, battery relatively new but small physical case. Extra white wire coming off battery is for trailer brake control. |
| 21 | Guage shot. Had just pulled truck out of parking space so it has not warmed up yet, notice good oil pressure and charging. Gas tank was half full from surplus yard... |
| 22 | Transfer case shift lever. Notcie brake control unit and holes in floor mat from radio mounting. |
| 23 | Main door sticker with build date, model, gvwr... |
| 24 | "Improved ride" door sticker stating lower tire pressure ratings for softer ride if vehicle is not heavily loaded... |
| 25 | NC inspection sticker. |
| 26 | "Charcoal sticker" for the EPA vapor recovery system installed for the gas tank/fuel supply system. |
| 27 | Caution sticker concerning air bag deployment and use of EXTENDED LIFE COOLANT - Use DEX-COOL (or equivelent)... |
| 28 | Spark plug gap, serpentine belt routing, etc. for the 7.4L Vortec. Note that this is an A/C equiped vehicle using R134a. |
| 29 | Bdale standing beside his "new" Surburban on the day that he arrived to pick it up (before the radio equipment was installed...). |
